Project Statement

This project was created alongside my larger photography series, Invitations, as a way of reflecting on the “outtakes” of photography. When working with film, there are countless frames that don’t unfold in the way you originally imagined. Yet these images are not failures—they simply fall outside the context they were first intended for.

This magazine gathers those overlooked moments into a curated collection of photographs that begin to speak to one another in a new way. Rather than treating these frames as wasted film, the project embraces them as fragments still capable of carrying meaning, atmosphere, and connection. No wasted roll of film.
